A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new 16,380 square-foot home of Edmond Family Services and the HOPE Center. Construction was estimated to be completed by the end of the year.

Tremendous support from diverse sectors of the community, as well as assistance from foundations, civic organizations, churches, families, and individuals continued to raise revenue essential to the building project.
2001
The Ribbon Cutting celebration marked the opening of a new building for HOPE and Edmond Family Services. Neither agency had ever been housed in such a beautiful, modern facility. Though each agency retained its independent status, the cooperative effort had been a marvelous success story for the community.

Another tragedy rocked our nation on 9/11 . Agency staff again offered support and therapy to those traumatized by the events in New York City.
2003
Joey Shaw, with a history of 27 years of experience and commitment to the community of Edmond, its youth, and Edmond Family Services, resigned to pursue other ventures.

Ms. Jackie White Shaw, former Case Manager and Assistant Director, became the Executive Director of Edmond Family Services, Inc. Mr. John Goetz became the Case Manager.
2004
An official Mortgage Shredding celebration was held on January 22.
The 1.2 million dollar facility had been completely paid off in only three and a half years! What a success story!

Edmond Family Services began an international accreditation process with the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). This process will continue into 2005.

For the first time, six individuals were simultaneously honored by Edmond Family Services as Friends of Youth . The staff of our agency wished to honor these EFS board members for their devotion to the organization and its mission.

Edmond Family Services, located at 1251 North Broadway, Suite C, is celebrating THIRTY YEARS OF CARING, COMPASSION, AND COMMITMENT to its clients, their families, our community, area and state. As a member of the Oklahoma Association of Youth Services, Edmond Family Services envisions continuing into a new era of growth with a level of services that are the epitome of professionalism and excellence!
2005
Created an interactive web site complete with educational information and our fundraising events. It also features a web based method of contacting us.
Created a Community Needs Assessment to help us with development of programming. This survey is conducted four times a year from a variety of sources.
2006
Started Pscyle For Families Bike Ride, a fundraising event for the spring.
2007
Created the Oklahoma Centennial Cookbook for an additional fundraiser. The successful project encompassed Oklahoma history along with approximately 700 recipes gathered from individuals across the state, some of which were 100 year old recipes.
Widened the scope of our fall fundraising project Classics in the Park Car Show to include a craft fair. This allowed new revenue and an additional reason to connect with families.
2008
Started an active marketing campaign with our state legislators complete with hosting an old fashioned ice cream social in the summer.
Continued to expand our professional licensure.
2009
Gradually increased our community relationships with other organizations, taking active roles in Edmond Character Council, Edmond Chamber Women's Breakfast and Edmond Ministerial Alliance.
Have continued to maintain a Board of Directors who are passionate about our mission.
Expanded our staff and programming to include a wider range of clients.
